Anthony Consigli Named Eastern Massachusetts Scouting for Food Chairman

A former Eagle Scout and recipient of the Knox Trail Council for the Boy Scouts of America Distinguished Citizen Award, Anthony Consigli has served on the Board of the Council and now serves as Honorary Chairman for the Scouting for Food Service Project.

“The Boy Scouts of America serve a great purpose in our community, and I can think of no greater need as we come up on the holiday season than to ensure that our neighbors do not go hungry,” said Anthony.

Representing the fourth generation to lead Consigli Construction Co., Inc., a Milford, Massachusetts-based construction company founded in 1905, Anthony assumed his role as President in 1994. Along with brother, Matthew, who serves as Vice President, Anthony has led the company’s growth from a well-respected small local contractor to a thriving $650+ million business with offices in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine and New York. The company currently serves prominent academic, life science, healthcare, institutional, corporate, landmark restoration and federal clients throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region. A significant local non-profit project built by Consigli, The Greater Boston Food Bank’s 117,000 square-foot Yawkey Distribution Center in Boston, doubled the size of its existing warehouse, accommodating a total of 50 million pounds of food.

Anthony’s commitment to giving back to the local community and the communities in which the company works has become part of the company’s culture. Throughout New England, Consigli is involved in its local communities through in-kind support, organizing fundraising and volunteer events, and providing eight hours of paid time-off for employees to volunteer each year.

The Consigli Foundation, established in 2001, forges ongoing partnerships with, and works to raise awareness and funds for, a number of local and national charitable organizations. And, in 2014, Consigli Construction Co. Inc. was selected as the Corporate Citizen of the Year by the Worcester Business Journal.

“Ours is a 100-plus year-old company and we expect to be around for another 100 years.  We can only do that by being engaged with the community. Our mission here is to build great buildings, great relationships and great people,” says Anthony.
